The third week was the first to involve the use of ArcGIS Pro. This week actually involved not only creating a map in ArcGIS Pro but, also learning how to alter and add script from a python function imbedded in the ArcGIS Pro program. This differed a bit from Spyder(the program for running python which we are using) from the setup and how the code was being initially interpreted as it was actually applying to "physical" object in front of you. That making the week much more difficult than the last two it also had much to learn from it.

As shown above this displays a script that is adding certain features to shapefiles. Each of these codes had to be created from scratch by us and run the specific functions that were requested in the instructions. The first being to add XY coordinates to a specific shapefile. Then we had to add a 1000m buffer to surround the same shapefile. Then the last being dissolving those buffers into a single entity. Creating these codes was surely not easy and took much trial/error to run correctly. Once done though it showed the potential of scripting to change and alter ArcPro files for easier use of functions and things of that sort.
The picture above displays and arrangement of map files which I had to clip, alter and piece together to display the above image. It displays land which is defined as farmable land in this area. The project used many different map files to piece together from including flood zones, basins, parks, etc. This in the real world would allow for future development planning and things of that which looking into untapped land. You must know which land isn't going to flood or what it could potentially be used for (residential, commercial, etc.)
The third week had quite a lot of new skills for us to learn! Not only did we use ArcPro to create a map but, we were also able to create our own script from scratch as well as alter a map from a specific python scripting tool. This week had plenty of new skills to develop as well as plenty of obstacles to cross!
